A new virus attacked our world called the severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) that has been identified as cause of disease outbreak which began in China in 2019. The disease known as Coronavirus disease i.e. COVID -19.

The disease spread from person to person among those who are closely connect. It spreads by respiratory droplets when a person sneezes or infected with virus coughs. Basically, it is not clear how transmissible virus is.

What are the symptoms of Coronavirus?

The virus can be mild to severe and includes cough, fever and shortness of breath. Some people does not show any symptoms. It may appear in 2 to 14 days after infected.

Vaccine currently not available for coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Moreover, no antiviral medication recommended for COVID-19 treatment.

Things to Remember to Protect from COVID-19

WHO and CDC recommend some precautions to avoid COVID-19:

• Avoid large and mass gathering.
• Make sure to stand 6 feet away from a person who is sick.
• COVID-19 continuously spreading, so keep distance between yourself and others, especially in a case having high risk of serious illness.
• Wash-down your hands frequently as much as you can for 20 seconds.
• Use sanitizer for hand rub that contains more than 20% alcohol.
• Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or elbow when you sneeze or cough. Once tissue is used, throw it away ASAP.
• Do not touch your eyes, mouth and nose if hands are not clean.
• Sanitize disinfect surfaces that you often touch.

WHO recommends these steps:

• Do not eat undercooked or raw meat and animal organs.
• In case, you are visiting live markets in areas that recently infected with coronavirus cases, ensure to not come in contact with live animals and surfaces that might have touched.
If you already suffering from chronic disease and have high risk of serious illness, check with doctor about other different ways to protect yourself.
